Ecobubs began in 2006 by sisters Rebecca and Rochelle. New babies were on the way - Rebecca's first and Rochelle's third after a ten year gap. Conscious of the environment and wanting to use cloth nappies they saw a gap in the market and with their skills wanted their own business with a product that they both totally believed in and was NZ made.

Rebecca designed and made the prototype for the Wool Pocket Nappy - the first ever. We wanted to combine the new with the old and we knew how many people in NZ loved wool. After the beginnings around the dining room table our wool nappy was born (so to speak).

Today this has become our biggest seller here and overseas and the most leak proof and trusted cloth nappy around the globe. This is the nappy that dreams are made of. Our wool nappy has saved many parents from having to use disposables on their heavy wetter overnight as the wool works as a second barrier against leaks and has proved itself to be very successful. We have also introduced our fantastic Day Pocket Nappies which are gorgeous. If you are looking for a trim nappy for your baby then this is it.

Cloth nappies have changed from how Rochelle remembers them. They are no longer bulky with pins and covers that you have to endlessly soak. Today's modern cloth nappies are trim and easy to use with more comfort for your baby, fully breathable and no nasty chemicals against baby's skin. Also fantastic for the environment, your pocket and looks fabulous!! Our nappies are put through testing before they hit the market. We have fifteen "tester babies and mothers" throughout NZ who thoroughly test our nappies before they are retailed.

Last year we branched into high quality clothing for newborn to four years old. Our childrenswear is designed with comfort and style in mind. It is designed by mothers with thought to longer tops to cover little bottoms, wider necks for over the head, very easy care yet high quality and beautiful. All our Merino fabrics are milled here in NZ, in fact only 100km away, which means low carbon miles which we are highly proud of and will continue to do.
