where to shop - organic certification
How do I know I'm buying organic?
Below is a list of certifying agencies in NZ.
Companies carrying these symbols must adhere to standards set out by their certifying agency.
There are also many overseas companies which supply organic products in NZ.
They are required to adhere to standards of certifying agencies in their own countries.
Internationally, many agencies also belong to
IFOAM and other World Organisations which govern their standards.

Organic Farm NZ:
This is a low cost certification scheme designed for small growers.
It is designed so that the same BIOGRO standards are reached but costs are kept to a minimum.
This is achieved by producers working in 'pods' with certification marked by peer reviews and documentation checked by a Regional Certification Manager and an Independent Auditor.
